Flooring, Drywall and Interior Finishes
A floor is only as flat as the framing under it, and a drywall crack can point to movement. We check both before the new finish goes on.
Subfloor first
Wood, tile and vinyl plank each need a flat, stiff subfloor. We check for dips, squeaks and soft spots and correct them before installing anything.
Drywall cracks with a cause
Cracks that return after patching often trace back to settlement or framing. We look for the cause, and if it is structural we tell you before we tape over it.
Trim, paint and the last layer
Baseboards, casing, doors and paint finish the room. We schedule them last, after the dusty work is done.
Flooring, Drywall & Interior Finishes: questions
Engineered wood, tile and good vinyl plank all work on a stiff subfloor. The stiffness of the base matters more than the product.
We try to source the same species or product. Where an exact match is not available, we suggest a transition at a doorway.
By area, with subfloor repair and any framing fixes on their own lines.
New floors or walls?
Tell us the rooms and the finish you want. We will check the subfloor and the walls before we price it.
